YBhg. Datuk Awang Alik bin Jeman

Secretary General

Ministry of Home Affairs

I am thrilled to welcome you to the Asia International Security Summit and Expo 2025 (AISSE’25), taking place from the 20th to the 22nd of January 2025. As the Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Malaysia, it is an honour to host this landmark event, the first-ever international and national security gathering of such scale in our nation. This summit represents a significant milestone in our commitment to strengthening both internal and regional security.

With the theme “Asia United: Charting the Future of Global Peace and Security through Law Enforcement Collaboration,” AISSE’25 reflects the critical importance of global partnerships in addressing complex and evolving security challenges. As Malaysia strives to improve its standing in the Global Peace Index 2024, this event serves as a vital platform to showcase our dedication to fostering cooperation across borders and enhancing security frameworks both locally and internationally.

I am especially excited to introduce the inaugural Cybercrime Prevention Summit 2025, supported by the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA), which will be an integral part of AISSE’25. In today’s increasingly digital world, where cyber threats are growing in sophistication, this summit will bring together leading experts, government officials, and industry stakeholders to discuss strategies for countering cybercrime and safeguarding critical infrastructure. Our focus on both physical and digital security underscores Malaysia’s commitment to a holistic approach in ensuring the safety of our citizens and the stability of our region.

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the exhibitors, sponsors, VIPs, and visitors. Your support and contributions are what make this event possible. Exhibitors will present cutting-edge security technologies, sponsors have demonstrated unwavering dedication to our shared goals, and the engagement of VIPs highlights the importance of AISSE’25 on the global security stage. Visitors’ participation shows a collective resolve to address the pressing security issues of our time.

Malaysia has long been a proponent of regional and international security cooperation, and AISSE’25 marks another key step in this direction. The inclusion of the Cybercrime Prevention Summit enhances the scope of the event, tackling both physical and digital threats while promoting collaboration on a global scale.

I also want to acknowledge the exceptional work of the organizers in bringing this event to fruition. Their efforts are essential in ensuring that AISSE’25 serves as a platform for meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange, and the advancement of innovative security solutions.

As we look ahead, let us use the momentum from this summit to strengthen our collective security efforts. By working together, we can address both traditional and emerging threats, and create a safer, more secure world. I encourage all participants to engage fully and make the most of the opportunities presented during AISSE’25.

Thank you for your commitment to advancing our shared security objectives. I wish you all a successful and productive summit.
