YBhg. Laksamana Muda Maritim Datuk Mohd Rosli Abdullah

Director General Malaysia Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA)

Ministry of Home Affairs

The Malaysia Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) is honored to be a key participant in the Asia International Security Summit 2025 (AISSE’25). As a maritime nation, we recognize the critical importance of securing our waters, and we are eager to engage with global experts and stakeholders at this historic event. AISSE’25 represents a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to enhance security and foster collaboration on both regional and international levels.
We are particularly proud to support the inaugural Cybercrime Prevention Summit 2025, endorsed by the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA). This focused summit is critical for addressing the growing threat of cybercrime, which impacts not only maritime security but also broader national interests. With maritime operations increasingly reliant on digital infrastructure, securing our cyber domain is essential to the safety and integrity of our waters.
Malaysia’s aim to elevate its rank in the Global Peace Index (GPI) 2024 aligns closely with the objectives of AISSE’25. This summit offers a crucial platform for discussing and implementing strategies that enhance peace and security across various domains. Our participation in AISSE’25 will significantly bolster the Malaysia Maritime Enforcement Agency’s (MMEA) capacity to fulfill our responsibilities in safeguarding Malaysia’s maritime borders. The knowledge gained and partnerships formed during this summit will directly contribute to strengthening our operational strategies, particularly in addressing complex security challenges such as cyber threats, piracy, and illegal trafficking.
By engaging with international experts and counterparts, MMEA will be better equipped to implement innovative security measures, ensuring that our maritime domain remains secure and resilient against evolving threats. The summit’s theme, “Asia United: Charting the Future of Global Peace and Security through Law Enforcement Collaboration,” perfectly encapsulates our shared commitment to fostering robust security frameworks that transcend borders.
AISSE’25 will bring together over 100 security organizations, 1,000 conference delegates, and 50 VIP delegations, with more than 5,000 visitors from over 20 countries. This impressive turnout underscores the global significance of this summit and highlights the urgent need for collaborative solutions to complex security challenges.
We extend a warm welcome to all participants, especially our distinguished VIPs, including Home and Interior Ministers, and high-ranking officials from across the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions. Their presence emphasizes the importance of international cooperation in addressing security issues that cross national borders and impact global peace and stability.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to the exhibitors, sponsors, and attendees who have made AISSE’25 possible. Your support and enthusiasm are vital to the success of this event, fostering an environment conducive to innovation and collaboration.
Thank you all for your dedication. I look forward to the productive discussions and partnerships that will emerge from this landmark summit, paving the way for stronger and more resilient security frameworks that will protect our maritime and national interests for years to come.
