AISSE 2025: PIONEERING SECURITY COLLABORATION

A New Era of Security is Here
The inaugural Asia International Security Summit & Expo (AISSE) 2025 has been successfully concluded on 22nd January 2025, after an exciting three days of discussion and exhibition amongst the powerhouses of the security industry worldwide.
YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi, Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister, stressed in his speech on opening day, about shared commitment to a safer, more resilient, and interconnected global security framework.
Over three days, 18,000 trade visitors and government officials, alongside 1,000 conference delegates were gathered for dialogues and collaborations, where they could engage 348 participating companies from 48 countries to achieve this goal. This was in addition to over 120 foreign delegations from 19 countries, as well as more than 500 local delegations. All this is to ultimately bridge the gap between legislation and practical enforcement.
Seamless Integration
20th January saw the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Barzan Holdings from Qatar and Koperasi Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) Berhad, as witnessed by the Inspector General of Police, IG Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, and Director of the Department of Internal Security and Public Order, CP Dato’ Sri Azmi Abu Kassim. Barzan Holdings was represented by Business Development Manager, Rashid Al-Mohanadi, with the Secretary of Koperasi PDRM Berhad, Tuan Mazelan Pajian.
With the AISSE 2025 Summit and Cybercrime Prevention Summit (CPS) 2025, visitors were able to attend 36 conference sessions comprising of keynote addresses, plenary forums, special sessions, and fireside chats. Speakers and delegates alike were able to engage each other in discussion around security – both in the physical and cyber space.
Helping to navigate the global event was the accompanying AISSE MY app, designed to provide easy access to event updates and maximising networking potential for visitors. Notifications for events on a personalised agenda in addition to business matching were available to attendees.
Facilitating Future Collaboration
“AISSE 2025 has shown Malaysia’s commitment to unite the ASEAN countries to tackle the challenges of security together, more so with Malaysia taking on the ASEAN Chairmanship this year. The ideas, discussions, and collaborations that were had here will inspire the future steps taken to strengthen regional security,” said YB Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution in his closing ceremony speech.
Once again, he called on all attendees to carry on the momentum gained from the event to realise that secure future sought by all around the world. “The event has proven that cooperation and unity is key to tackle complex security issues,” he added. “This has been an event promoting stronger ties, in both international and domestic relations.”
With the resounding success of AISSE 2025, YB Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution announced AISSE 2027 during the closing ceremony, further demonstrating Malaysia’s commitment to an overall safer and resilient future, inviting current and future attendees to do the same. Promising a larger event with a broader scope and more innovative dialogues, AISSE 2027 is currently in the planning stage, ready to make an even more impactful mark in the security and cybersecurity space.
